Lorneville offers a variety of specialty services, including fabrication and module assembly. Our fabrication services are located in Ottawa, Ontario and Saint John, New Brunswick. With over 20,000 sq-feet of indoor heated working space, we can handle jobs from the smallest tank to the largest module. The repair and maintenance of turbines, heat exchangers, electrostatic precipitators, air heaters, and boilers are some of the additional services we offer to our customers.
Canaport LNG is a partnership between Repsol and Irving Oil and is Canada’s first ever liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal. Lorneville was awarded the contract to construct three 160,000 cubic meter storage tanks made of 9% nickel alloy steel. A project of this kind hadn’t been carried out in Canada up to this point, and significant expertise was required given the demands of working with 9% nickel alloy steel. Lorneville employed more than 250 workers during this project and solidified a relationship with Irving Oil and Repsol through demonstrated workmanship and expertise. To this day, Lorneville continues to work for Irving Oil and Canaport LNG—in fact, in 2014, we were awarded a five-year maintenance contract.
